BLOC is a project delivery and construction firm that specialises in high-end residential, commercial and retail projects. With operations across the eastern states of Australia, its projects are characterised by uncompromising quality and scrupulous attention to detail. Swell have admired BLOC’s work for many years—urban developments that endure and positively contribute to the architectural landscape.
BLOC sought a brand update and new website to shift them into the next chapter of the practice. Following a renewed strategic positioning and update of services, Swell re-imagined the brand identity through this new lens while the monochromatic palette adds simplicity, rigour and timelessness.
Using a functional and pragmatic approach, the identity system is derived from the BLOC grid—an underlying structure that ensures information is articulated clearly and cohesively, from internal communications to stationery, publications, consumer-facing website, office signage and more. The end result is a refined experience that allows BLOC to communicate their core values across a wide scope of media.








The underlying identity grid system is mapped across all touchpoints, blurring the line between luxury and utility.




The visual aesthetic of the website is hyper reductive and neutral, revealing the hard lines and sculptural forms that embody the narrative of BLOC’s beautiful portfolio of work.
